A land program in Spain for a group of around twenty travelers costs roughly €300 per person per day, based on thirteen programs we have priced for travel in 2026 and 2027. Groups of about eight come in nearer €400 a day, and private trips run from about €250 to €850 a day depending on how many people share the cost. All of these figures are per person sharing a double room and exclude international flights. They are gross figures, the level a client would see, rather than our net trade rates.
Every program is priced to its own dates, party and hotels, so these ranges are a starting point for a first conversation with a client. Where a program lands within them depends mostly on group size, hotel category and rooming.
Private programs
Families, couples and small parties traveling on their own, priced per person sharing.
-
Basque Country & Asturias
€830 per person, per day
A private couple on the Basque coast and in Asturias, at a five-star Gran Lujo hotel in the SLH collection
-
Lisbon, Seville & Barcelona
€360 per person, per day
Three adults from Lisbon to Barcelona by way of Seville, in apartments in Lisbon and Seville
-
Andalusia
€360 per person, per day
A family of six through Andalusia with a private driver, 5-star
-
Galicia
€240 per person, per day
A three-generation family of seven in Galicia, self-drive with private guided touring, in rural and four-star hotels
The Galicia family is the lowest figure on the list because they drove themselves, in two rental cars, with private guided visits in Santiago and Lugo, and because seven people shared three rooms. The Andalusia family traveled with a private driver throughout and stayed in five-star hotels.
Group programs
Tour operator and hosted group departures, priced per person sharing at each group size quoted.
-
Andalusia
€570 / €490 per person, per day
A small group through Ronda, Seville and Granada, with a tour leader included in the price
-
Madrid & Andalusia
€400 / €340 per person, per day
A literary small group through Madrid and Andalusia, with two free places for its hosts
-
Andalusia
€630 / €480 per person, per day
A heritage group in Andalusia, 5-star, with a free place for the tour leader
-
Spain & Portugal
€360 per person, per day
Spain and Portugal with two rail sectors and a flight, in moderately priced 4-star hotels, with a free place for the tour leader
Where two figures are shown, the program was quoted at both group sizes. These cards show eight of the thirteen programs behind the ranges in the opening paragraph, chosen to cover different regions, party sizes and hotel levels. A tour operator series using standard-category hotels with half board came in lower than anything here, at under €220 a day for a group of twenty-five.
To turn a daily rate into a trip price, multiply it by the number of days. Most of these programs run through Andalusia and Madrid, with a few in the north, Barcelona and Portugal. All of them include hotels and ground services, and most include breakfast but few other meals.
Why group size changes the price
A large part of what a program costs stays the same however many people are on it. The coach, the driver, the guide and our operations coordinator cost the same whether eight people are traveling or eighteen. In one Andalusia program we quoted at four group sizes, those group services came to the same total at every size, so each additional traveler lowered the share everyone else paid.
In that program, moving from ten paying travelers to twenty-three lowered the price per person by about a third. In a smaller group program through Ronda, Seville and Granada, going from six travelers to twelve lowered it by a quarter. A tour leader who travels free is spread across the group in the same way, so the leader adds more to each person's price in a group of ten than in a group of twenty.
Private trips sit at the far end of that scale. A couple traveling with a private driver and guide carry the full cost of both between the two of them, which is most of the reason a private program for two costs two to three times as much per day as a place in a group.
What can move the price more than group size
Group size explains how the price changes within a single program. Across different programs, the hotel category and the rooming often matter more.
In one program we priced in both four-star and five-star versions, the five-star option cost between 50 and 65 percent more at every group size. Single rooms add between about 20 and 50 percent to the per-person price in the group programs we priced, because each traveler pays for a whole room rather than half of one.
A family of six we priced cost less per day than a group of eight. The family shared rooms, children included, and stayed in five-star hotels. The group of eight stayed in boutique properties with every traveler in a single room, so although it had more people sharing its fixed costs, its rooming more than cancelled out the advantage.
How the party moves around matters as well. A self-drive program avoids the cost of a driver on every touring day, which is most of why the Galicia family priced at about €240 a day while the chauffeured family in Andalusia priced at about €360.
Daily private guiding, special access and long drives between cities add cost as well. They vary too much from one program to the next for us to put a reliable figure on them here.
Using these numbers with a client
The ranges are most useful early, before a client has settled on a budget from a figure they read somewhere else. If a family of five asks what nine days in Andalusia might cost, you can tell them it is likely to land somewhere around €2,250 to €3,150 each before flights, and that the hotel level and the rooming will decide where in that range it falls.
The numbers also show which decisions are worth raising. A client set on five-star hotels can often keep them by sharing rooms, or by joining a small group for some of the touring days and staying private for the rest. A group organizer who brings in two or three more travelers lowers the price for everyone already signed up. Our sample programs show how these choices look in a finished itinerary, and the advisor page and tour operator page explain how we price and bill for each.
These figures will move with exchange rates and with each season's hotel contracts, so a range drawn from this year's proposals may not hold for travel two years out.
